Through gestures of care, support, and discipline, we each discover an individual significance behind it that is heavily encouraged to be passed on throughout the generations to follow. It is said that every family has a legacy to be accomplish throughout time, but the task of putting it forward can often be daunting; especially when an unknown phenomena is taking place, causing conception rates to plummet at an alarming degree. In a technologically advanced age such as 1990, it was expected that such an issue would be fixed promptly. Though the population was briskly decreasing, causing a panic that was seemingly irreversible, until an organization that virtually came out of thin air swept in to save the day. Five months later, a prenatal drug was formed by what was known as Motta Industries, guaranteeing to encourage the chances of conception that had been formerly decreasing. With large success, women across the world soon became pregnant quicker and easier. Done were the days of guessing and waiting. Thanks to Motta Industries’ new drug, getting pregnant was now regarded as easier said than done.
But with the new drug now in active circulation, another strange phenomenon occurred, arguably even more ludicrous than the one that had just passed. Now, women were not only solely becoming pregnant with children, they were getting pregnant with twins. Throughout the world, an outbreak of multiples was occurring, and the only common denominator between the women was the new drug. Due to the sudden outbreak of twins, the economy began to decrease in a rapid fashion. Families no longer had the means to support themselves, and more and more couples found themselves making the burdening decision to put their new twins up for adoption.
The negative response now weighing heavily upon them, Motta Industries found themselves in a position of restitution; the only twist being that it came in the form of a study. Only this time, their focus did not lay within the field of medicine, nor the field of science its self, but rather the lives of the twins they had impacted and the sociological affects this implied. Their plan was fairly simple, and consisted of keeping the pair of twins together until they were toddlers, only to offer them up for adoption as the now habitual routine in society. Forbidden to intertwine, the organization kept them separated for the majority of their lives, divided without any knowledge of ever possessing a twin. Fourteen years later and well on their way to adulthood, the prized pairs about to make their journey to reuniting in none other than Paris, France. Here, they will be set free into the halls of St. Clair Academy to meet once again. This is their story.
